Te Vaka was found by Opetaia Foa'i in New Zealand 1997. Opetaia currently lives in Sydney, Australia with his wife and is the father of 4.( two of his kids being in the band)
Te Vaka is a South Pacific Fusion Contemporary Polynesian band!
They have created 9 studio albums.
Toured for over 20 years to 40 different countries. Te Vaka has solidified its position at the top of the Pacific Music. They created the polynesian part of the soundtrack for the movie Moana.The band has performed at many major sporting events including the Beijing and London Olympics, the Rugby World Cup in Paris and the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
